Key Responsibilities- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently, including parenteral and enteral medications.
- Monitor patient drug therapies for contraindications, drug-drug interactions, allergies, and appropriateness of drug and dose.
- Provide clinical consultation and clarification to practitioners, suggesting appropriate and cost-effective therapeutic alternatives as needed.
- Document all clinical activities and interventions accurately and completely.
- Participate in quality improvement and medication use review activities of the department.
- Work independently with minimal supervision, organizing and prioritizing work assignments to ensure timely provision of pharmacy services.
- Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS in Pharmacy, an MS in Pharmacy, or a Doctor of Pharmacy.
- NYS Pharmacy license required. Oncology pharmacy board certification preferred (BCOP).
- Basic and advanced computer skills, proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills, able to work collaboratively on a multidisciplinary team.
