The Obstetrical Scrub Specialist is a vital member of our healthcare team, working under the supervision of a registered nurse. This role involves delivering direct patient care and serving as a scrub technician during surgical procedures. The incumbent will be responsible for the organization and maintenance of surgical supplies, ensuring a streamlined and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
As an Obstetrical Scrub Specialist, you will:

  • Assist in surgical procedures by providing essential support to the surgical team.
  • Maintain a clean and organized surgical environment by managing supplies and equipment.
  • Adhere to all relevant regulations and organizational policies to uphold the highest standards of conduct.
  • Collaborate with healthcare personnel to address any potential compliance issues and assist in risk management initiatives.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of experience in an acute care hospital setting as an Obstetrical Technician or completion of a Surgical Technician program.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
  • Basic proficiency in computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as an Obstetrical Technician or completion of a year in a registered nursing program is preferred.
