Position OverviewThe Nurse Practitioner collaborates closely with a physician to enhance clinical decision-making, manage cases, and assess performance outcomes. This role involves delivering advanced nursing care and treatment to patients, conducting comprehensive physical assessments, ordering necessary diagnostic evaluations, formulating treatment strategies, and prescribing medications or alternative therapies.
Key Responsibilities- Educational Background: Master’s degree in Nursing is required.
- Professional Experience: While prior experience is not mandatory, 1-2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Essential Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities; capacity to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within teams; proficient in computer applications.
- Licensure and Certification: Must possess a valid Nurse Practitioner license in Missouri; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 90 days of employment.
- Completion of all department-specific credentialing is expected within the first 90 days of employment.
This position is integral to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services within the hospital environment.
