Job Summary

Orlando Health is seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Arnold Palmer Hospital Outpatient Pediatric Rehabilitation. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in patients of all ages with varying acuity levels.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients, gathering data from the patient, physician, interdisciplinary team meetings, family, and significant other persons, and data sources.
  • Develop treatment plans that integrate with the continuum of care and have specific goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned caseload.
  • Re-evaluate and modify treatment plans and goals when appropriate, and prepare written documentation as required by the department and the care team.
  • Recognize and communicate when the patient has received optimal benefit from speech therapy.
  • Ensure accurate billing.
  • Adhere to State Practice Act and Standards of Practice.
  • Maintain reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • Maintain compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Masters degree in speech/language pathology from an approved program.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence or active engagement and successful completion of the Clinical Fellowship Year requirements.
  • Current license in the State of Florida.
  • Maintains current BLS/HealthCare Provider Certification.
  • Two (2) years of outpatient pediatric experience preferred.
