Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our patient care team. As a Dental Assistant at University Dental Associates, you will play a vital role in facilitating treatment and care for our patients. Your responsibilities will include preparing operatories, running sterilization, assisting providers during treatment, and supporting patient education on oral healthcare goals.
Key Responsibilities- Clinical Duties: Prepare operatories for patients, run sterilization, assist providers during treatment, and support patient education on oral healthcare goals.
- Administrative Support: Schedule appointments and maintain thorough patient records.
- Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program or six months on-the-job experience with supporting documentation.
- Dental Assistant certification.
- X-Ray certification.
- Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control trainings as required by law.
- Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
