Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Tableau Data Visualization Architect to join our team. As a key member of our data analytics team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data visualization solutions that meet the business requirements of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Migrate Data: Migrate data from Business Objects (BO) to Tableau, and perform any necessary Tableau migrations.
  • Cloud Experience: Leverage cloud experience with Azure and Snowflake to design and implement scalable data solutions.
  • Database Knowledge: Utilize knowledge of Netezza, SQL Server, and querying in BO to ensure data is structured for effective reporting and analysis.
  • Tableau Solution Design: Design and architect Tableau-based data visualization solutions that meet business requirements and optimize user experience.
  • Data Modeling: Collaborate with data engineers to design and implement robust data models that ensure data is structured for effective reporting and analysis.
  • Dashboard Development: Develop complex and dynamic dashboards that provide deep insights and are easy to navigate, utilizing LOD functions.
  • Performance Optimization: Ensure Tableau solutions are optimized for performance, scalability, and security, adhering to best practices.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business users to understand their requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Training and Mentorship: Provide training, support, and guidance to business users and junior Tableau developers.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of Tableau solutions, including architecture, data flows, and design rationale.
  • Data Governance: Ensure adherence to data governance policies and collaborate with the data governance team to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Tableau implementations, including performance bottlenecks and data discrepancies.
  • Innovation: Stay updated with the latest Tableau features and industry trends, and implement innovative solutions that add value to the business.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, data science, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in data visualization, business intelligence, or a related field.
  • Tableau Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience with Tableau, including advanced dashboarding, data blending, and Tableau Server/Online administration.
  • Database Knowledge: Strong experience with data modeling, SQL, and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
  • ETL Tools: Experience with ETL tools and processes.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Project Management: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • BI Tools: Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Qlik) is a plus.
  • Certification: Certification in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server is preferred.
Preferred Skills
  • Data Warehousing: Understanding of data warehousing concepts and experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Agile Methodologies: Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Scripting Languages: Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or R.
  • Team Leadership: Experience in leading or managing a team of BI developers.
