Overview of the Role

As an adjunct faculty member, you will be engaged in a part-time capacity, with hiring contingent upon the needs of the educational institution. This role requires completion of the Lee Teaching Online Certification course or equivalent training in online education.

Applications for adjunct positions are accepted year-round from qualified individuals interested in part-time teaching opportunities. Academic departments will reach out to potential candidates when openings arise.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver instruction for freshman and sophomore-level Government courses to students within correctional facilities.Demonstrate a commitment to fostering student learning, incorporating technology into the educational experience, and promoting active engagement among learners.Maintain precise student records in accordance with institutional guidelines.Submit necessary student documentation to the relevant office as per established timelines.Guide and assess the educational journey of students in alignment with approved curricula and procedures.Conduct classes following the designated syllabi, outlines, and instructional resources.Provide academic support and guidance to students as needed.

Additional Responsibilities

Undertake other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess a Master's degree (or higher) in the relevant teaching field or a Master's degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the subject area.Successful candidates must pass a criminal background check conducted by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
