Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Nurse II to join our team at the Hope Clinic of the Emory Vaccine Center. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for coordinating and implementing clinical research trials, studies, and projects related to infectious diseases vaccines, treatment, and prevention.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement research protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and institutional policies.
  • Recruit and screen potential study participants, providing education and support to ensure informed consent.
  • Oversee financial accounts, ensuring operations remain within approved levels and making recommendations for budget adjustments as needed.
  • Perform patient evaluations, administer medications and research instruments, and provide nursing support for specialized diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical procedures.
  • Make referrals to in-house or community professionals and serve as a clinical resource for patients and families.
  • Collect and analyze data, assisting in the development of data collection systems and compiling reports to inform research decisions.
  • May provide infusion duties and assist in writing research grants, publications, and study materials.
  • Provide direction and supervision to other Research Nurses or support staff, ensuring high-quality research outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia with three years of related nursing experience.
  • Credentialed through Emory Healthcare under the category of RN II.
