About the Role

This is an entry-level management position that requires direct supervision by the Clinical Director or Administrator. As a Peer Recovery Team Lead, you will supervise multidisciplinary teams, coordinate service needs, and collaborate with other services and agencies.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting individuals with behavioral health challenges and be certified by the State of Washington Peer Counselor Training Program. Additionally, they should possess strong communication skills, typing/computer skills, and be willing to seek to understand the unique circumstances, personal preferences, and goals of each member served.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate the Telecare mission, purpose, values, and beliefs in everyday language and contact with internal and external stakeholders
  • Engage, inspire, and facilitate meaningful conversations with members served that assist the person to explore, create, and meet their own recovery goals
  • Respond to critical situations with a high-level of engagement and de-escalation skills that support a least restrictive environment for individuals experiencing an emergency related to a mental health/addiction challenge
  • Organize team meetings to update and coordinate assigned tasks and work flow for team members
  • Ensure required peer services deliverables are met or exceeded by self and team members
  • Collaboratively works with internal and external customers
  • Provide on-site recovery and peer support skill coaching and development
  • Monitor and support staff attendance, required credentials, and performance development of team members

Requirements:

  • Current Certification by the State of Washington Peer Counselor Training Program
  • Three years of experience or part-time equivalent supporting individuals with behavioral health challenges
  • Experience as a beneficiary of the public Behavioral Health system of care
  • Ability to meet state requirements for registration as an Agency Affiliated Counselor within days of employment
  • Sensitivity to multi-cultural populations and issues
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certified on date of employment or within days of employment and maintain current certification throughout employment

Estimated Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on location and experience. Benefits include opportunities for career growth and professional development, comprehensive training programs, and competitive compensation packages.
