The Physical Rehab Registered Nurse plays a vital role in assessing patient/family health problems and resources, taking a leadership position in planning, implementing, and evaluating the nursing plan of care provided by the nursing team. This position requires providing technical nursing care and interventions to a designated patient population, with a focus on Medical-Surgical Patients aged eighteen and above. The successful candidate will demonstrate a full understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individuals served and actively participate in fulfilling the Mission of CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Prioritize workflow daily and communicate effectively with individuals of various education levels, including physicians.
- Interpret medical terminology and possess an understanding of human anatomy and physiology.
- Obtain CRRN certification after 2 years of experience on the Rehab unit.
- One-year recent experience preferred, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Current Louisiana RN License and Current BLS certification required.
