Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist/Lab Assistant to join our team at Carle Health. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for collecting blood specimens from patients in the hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform venipuncture and skin puncture procedures with precision and care
  • Ensure accurate patient identification and specimen labeling
  • Meet response time requirements for stat and timed orders
  • Participate in committee work and contribute to the development of laboratory policies and procedures
  • Perform inventory and audits as directed
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal error
  • Strong communication and patient care skills
  • Ability to prioritize and complete tasks under stressful conditions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
