Job Summary:

As a Pipe Installation Specialist at Green Mechanical Construction, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems and components. This is a challenging role that requires strong technical skills and attention to detail.

About the Job:**

The successful candidate will have experience in pipe-fitting, plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and sheet metal/pipe fabrication. They will work collaboratively with other trades and suppliers to complete projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:*

  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and components;
  • Review building plans and specifications to determine the layout for plumbing and related materials;
  • Select the type and size of pipe required;
  • Locate and mark positions for connections and fixtures;
  • Install supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures, and equipment;
  • Assemble and install valves and fittings;
  • Install, repair, and maintain water treatment equipment, piping, and controls;
  • Install, repair, and maintain underground storm sanitary and water piping systems;
  • Install, repair, and maintain sinks, tubs, and toilets;
  • Install, repair, and maintain water heaters and conditioners;
  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures, appliances, and trim;
  • Test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks;

Requirements:*

  • Experience in pipe-fitting, plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and sheet metal/pipe fabrication;
  • Knowledge of relevant building codes, legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures installation and maintenance;
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other trades;
  • Team building skills;
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Decision-making skills;
  • Effective verbal, presentation, and listening communications skills;
  • Effective negotiation and mediation skills;
  • Effective written communications skills;
  • Computer skills, including the ability to operate computerized accounting, spreadsheet, database, and word-processing programs;

  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
