About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Surgical Assistant to join our team at Southeast Oral Surgery. As a Surgical Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our surgeons during surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preoperative and Postoperative Duties: Assist with preparing patients for surgery, verifying patient information, and maintaining aseptic technique throughout procedures.
  • Surgical Support: Help surgeons during surgery by performing tasks such as tissue retraction, intravenous lines, and documentation.
  • Equipment and Supply Management: Determine availability of necessary equipment and supplies, and obtain and inspect sterile and non-sterile surgical equipment.
  • Patient Care: Monitor patient intraoperative status, obtain dental radiographs and imaging, and complete patient clinical narratives.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certifications: BLS certification required or the ability to complete within 1 month of hire. DAANCE certification and licensed dental assistant preferred.
  • Experience: At least one year of related experience preferred.
