We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Associate Librarian to join our team at the City of Surprise, AZ. As a key member of our library staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, developing and maintaining library collections, and delivering engaging programs and services to our community.

• Provide reference services to library patrons, utilizing online catalogs and databases to answer research questions and provide information.
• Develop and maintain library collections, including selection, acquisition, and processing of materials.
• Plan and deliver library programs and services, including storytime, author talks, and other community events.
• Assist with special functions and events, such as author visits, book clubs, and children's activities.
• Provide bibliographic and technological instruction to patrons, including training on library databases and online resources.
• Collaborate with other library staff to develop and implement library policies and procedures.

• Masters degree in Library Science or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of one year of related experience in a library setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to customer service.
• Proficiency in library software and technology, including online catalogs and databases.
