Master Craftsman

We are seeking a skilled Master Craftsman to join our team as a Tooling Specialist. In this role, you will set up and operate equipment in the Tool Room and Die Cast departments, creating tooling essential for our production lines.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading client in Grayslake, IL, where you will be responsible for:

• Setting up and operating Lathes, Surface Grinders, Milling Machines
• Monitoring process parameters on injection machines and secondary systems
• Executing tooling changeovers safely, accurately, and timely
• Building small to medium die cast and injection molds from tooling drawings and piece part prints
• Troubleshooting molding problems including flash, short shots, dimensional issues, etc.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• Previous experience in production and machine operation (Lathes, Surface Grinders)
• Previous experience in plastics injection molding and die casting a plus
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
• Experience reading and interpreting production specifications a plus
