Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Brigham and Women's Hospital. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will be responsible for performing ultrasound examinations and providing high-quality images to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform ultrasound examinations on patients of all ages, including infants, children, and adults.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, including transducers and other accessories.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, including explaining procedures and positioning patients for optimal image quality.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient examinations, including images and reports.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Program with a minimum of 12 months full-time clinical ultrasound experience.
  • Must meet the requirements and successfully complete the ARDMS certification (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) or equivalent.
  • Must become registered in all the institutions accredited specialties.
Working Conditions

Normal teaching clinical hospital environment. Exposure to high frequency sound waves. Possibility of contact with infectious diseases and bodily fluids. Standing and walking most of the day.
