We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at a reputable medical center in Wilson County, Texas.
Job Summary:
Under the general supervision of a Physician, the Nurse Practitioner will deliver acute and basic healthcare to clients, assessing their health status, developing treatment plans, and providing education and counseling.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough health and development histories and physical assessments using appropriate tools.
- Assess the health status of clients, discriminating between normal and abnormal physical/emotional findings.
- Order screening and diagnostic tests as necessary.
- Provide treatment for minor illnesses and accidents, either in consultation with the Physician or according to established protocol.
- Participate in and continue healthcare plans involving clients, families, or community agencies and resources.
- Evaluate data from assessments for client needs related to family planning, substance abuse, and other health-related requests.
- Communicate with patients, families, and consultants, and type daily notes.
Requirements:
- Two years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner in Texas.
- Experience in critical care, emergency department care, and/or patient clinic.
- Able to work on-site in Floresville, TX.
