The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a compassionate and adaptable Certified Nursing Assistant to provide care to seniors in a Christian environment. This opportunity allows a CNA to travel locally by working in various GSS locations within a 150-mile radius from home address, providing care with competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexibility, and no contract requirement.
As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will provide assistance with basic health care needs, including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned residents.
You will also assist residents with meals and snacks, provide water and supplements as appropriate, and create a positive dining experience for the resident. Additionally, you will aid providers and nursing staff members with procedures, document resident interactions as needed, and communicate resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse.
Qualifications include a high school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required, and a minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care is preferred. Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
