Position Overview

As the Head of Grid Integration, you will be responsible for leading the interconnection and integration of energy systems to align with the strategic objectives of the organization. Your primary focus will be on managing the substantial pipeline of utility-scale energy storage initiatives, while also conducting assessments for prospective projects. Key responsibilities will encompass overseeing transmission matters, negotiating contracts, and steering the interconnection process throughout all phases of project development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and analyze interconnection and transmission assessments
  • Serve as the main liaison for project developers and external consultants
  • Evaluate interconnection capacity and critical parameters to support projects
  • Identify and assess potential risks associated with interconnection and transmission
  • Negotiate agreements with utility companies
  • Enhance project engineering designs for optimal grid integration
  • Establish and nurture relationships with essential industry stakeholders
  • Keep abreast of transmission planning developments and policy modifications
  • Provide technical analysis to support project development
  • Track system enhancements and recommend solutions for project assistance
Qualifications
  • Required: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, Management, or a related Analytical field
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience, including 6 years in ERCOT transmission planning or generation interconnection
  • Extensive understanding of ERCOT interconnection protocols
  • Proficient in power system modeling and transmission planning evaluations
  • Strong collaborative and analytical skills
  • Able to manage multiple projects concurrently under tight deadlines

Compensation Package

Salary Range: $128,400 - $196,765 USD annually
