Adjunct Professor of Health Administration Position

Job Summary

Governors State University's College of Health and Human Services is seeking a qualified adjunct faculty member to teach in a CAHME-accredited graduate and AUPHA-certified undergraduate program in health administration. The successful candidate will have expertise in healthcare management and be able to teach specialized courses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach in multiple areas of healthcare management, including financial management, informatics, accounting, and quality improvement with Lean Six Sigma.
  • Integrate technology into course design and make intellectual contributions through publication and presentation.
  • Contribute to the University's commitment to enhancing student awareness and appreciation of diverse ethnic and cultural heritages.

Requirements

  • Doctorate or Master's degree in Health Management, Health Administration, Public Health, Health Policy, or a related discipline, and documented work experience at the senior management level in a health services organization.
  • Successful teaching experience at the graduate or undergraduate level.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to teach at least one of the areas: financial management, informatics, accounting, or quality improvement with Lean Six Sigma.
  • Healthcare industry experience in healthcare leadership and Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Administrators is a plus.
