About the Job:

We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Communication Specialist to join our team at Allina Health. As a Medical Interpreter, you will work closely with patients, healthcare providers, and other staff members to ensure effective communication and high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurate Interpretation: Accurately interpret messages between Limited English Proficiency (LED) patients and healthcare providers or support staff in various settings.
  • Translation Services: Translate written versions of documents or medical records as requested.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement activities to evaluate and enhance service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent with vocational or technical training in a medical interpreter training program.
  • Certifications: State of Minnesota Medical Interpreters Roster, National Health Care Interpreter Certification within 1 year, Certified Health Care Interpreter (CHI), and Certified Medical Interpreter (CMI).

Benefits and Salary:

This full-time position offers a salary range of $55,000 - $70,000 per year, benefits, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
