Job Title: Assistant Field Education Coordinator - Special Sessions

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Field Education Coordinator - Special Sessions to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Field Education Director in leading and managing the field education programming for the Special Sessions Online/Hybrid MSW program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support online MSW students with the internship search process, planning, orientations, field fairs, administrative tracking databases, course enrollment, and navigating challenges and coordination to ensure internship placements.
  • Create new agency internship partnerships and contracts.
  • Lead and facilitate the internship tracking system (In-Place) and support students and faculty with troubleshooting, signing off on necessary documents, and answering In-Place related questions and concerns.
  • Support and liaisonship amongst Field Faculty Liaisons (FFLs) and Agency Field Instructors (AFIs) in the Special Sessions Online/Hybrid MSW Program.
  • Demonstrate awareness and experience understanding the needs of a student population and their great diversity, including age, abilities, cultural background, ethnicity, religion, economic background, primary language, sexual orientation, gender identity, and academic preparation.
  • Organize classes within the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) and ensure all classes meet as scheduled throughout the entire semester or term.
  • Other duties as assigned, including helping students navigate placement difficulties, tracking new and current student data and internship placement process, supporting agency partners with University-related questions or concerns, and managing logistics to assist the consistency and connection with general sessions programming.

Requirements:

  • MSW from a CSWE-accredited social work program.
  • Relevant experience in field education.
  • Administrative skills in tracking data, Excel, PowerPoint/Google Slides, and other technology platforms.
  • Professional, responsible, and dependable.
  • Good communication and people skills.
  • Strong administrative skills and follow-up with deadlines in a timely manner.
  • Advanced computer and software knowledge and skills, including MS Office, Google Suite, and multimedia skills.
  • Ability to work in teams and independently, prioritize and manage large volumes of work, interact and collaborate effectively and professionally with university, community, and agency personnel, and adhere to FERPA laws and regulations.
  • Applicants should demonstrate an awareness of and sensitivity to the educational goals of a multicultural population.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional certification, such as LCSW, PPSC, etc.
  • Ph.D. in Social Work or Social Welfare, or related doctorate.
  • 2 years of post-MSW social work experience, prior supervisory and/or teaching experience, including experience in educational or academic settings.
  • Teaching and supervisory experience in the area of social work, including experience with online pedagogy.
  • Experience in field internship placement, field education curriculum and seminars, student supervision and advising, and developing and overseeing the implementation of various programs associated with the School.
