Role Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) comprises a 16-bed facility dedicated to delivering exceptional medical and nursing care to critically ill and injured adult patients.
This unit specializes in advanced hemodynamic monitoring, artificial airway management, ventilator support, and other critical interventions essential for treating complex and acutely ill patients.
Due to the severity of their conditions, some patients may require individualized staffing. Intensivist-led teams are readily available for consultation and management of patients within the ICU.
The ICU team collaborates as part of a multidisciplinary approach, including physicians, social workers, case managers, physical and occupational therapists, respiratory therapists, dietitians, chaplains, and pharmacists, to comprehensively address the needs of this patient population.
This unit also accommodates intermediate and medical-surgical overflow patients.

Qualifications:
Education/Training:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Must meet all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for South Lake Hospital and the respective unit/department.
Licensure/Certification:
Must maintain a current registered nurse license in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification is required. ACLS, NRP, PALS, and TNCC certifications are mandatory for specific areas.
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of ICU experience is required.
