Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Speech Therapist to join our team at SR COMPANIES LLC. As a Speech Therapist, you will provide skilled speech pathology services to patients in their homes, in accordance with physician orders.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patient's level of functioning and recommend mechanisms to enhance hearing ability.
  • Provide initial and ongoing comprehensive assessments of patient's needs, including OASIS assessments.
  • Establish a Speech Therapy treatment plan, in consultation with physician, and revise it as necessary.
  • Assist in development and implementation of interdisciplinary patient care plan, as it pertains to Speech Therapy.
  • Communicate with other team members and instruct them in speech pathology techniques, as needed.
  • Teach, supervise, and counsel patient and family in total Speech Therapy program and other related problems.
  • Evaluate patient, family, and home situation to determine required instruction and assistance.
  • Make arrangements for out-patient services, as necessary.
  • Record and report patient's reaction to treatment and any changes in condition.
  • Participate in development of periodic revision of physician's plan of treatment.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of speech pathology intervention and update patient care plan, as needed.
Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in speech-language pathology.
  • Licensed or registered in state of Florida.
  • At least one year of institutional experience.
  • Criminal background check.
  • Current CPR certification.
Requirements
  • Ability to drive and access patients' homes, which may not be routinely wheelchair accessible.
  • Hearing, eyesight, and physical dexterity sufficient to perform physical assessment and patient care.
  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Effective communication in English.
