Parking Attendant Job Description

Job Title: Parking Attendant

Department: Parking Operations

Location: Houston, Texas

Pay Rate: $16.00/hr

Shift: 10:00 PM TO 6:30 AM

Global Parking Systems is a renowned company specializing in parking lot management, valet services, and shuttle operations at airports nationwide. We are dedicated to providing top-notch parking experiences for our customers. Partnered with SP Plus Parking Corporation, a leading parking management company, we uphold high standards of service quality and integrity at all our facilities.

Main Responsibilities
  • Drive, park, and retrieve customer vehicles safely and courteously
  • Ensure a professional and timely valet service for all customers
Responsibilities
  • Be punctual and maintain a clean appearance
  • Inspect vehicles before parking
  • Inform customers of valet rates
  • Report any incidents or safety hazards
  • Provide directions to customers if needed
  • Respond to customer inquiries promptly
  • Observe traffic laws and safe driving practices
  • Assist with additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications

Education/Experience: Less than High School education or one-month related experience. Prior valet driving experience preferred.

License Requirement: Valid state driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Availability: Flexibility to work different shifts and weekends as needed.

Language Skills: Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.

Customer Service Skills: Ability to handle customer concerns professionally.

Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills required.

Appearance: Must maintain a neat and clean appearance.

Other Attributes: Ability to follow instructions and adapt to changes.

Physical Demands

The employee must be able to stand, walk, handle cash, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Full-time employees are eligible for dental, medical, and vision insurance, paid holidays, sick time, and vacation after 90 days.

Important: This is a non-exempt/hourly position. Criminal background check and pre-employment drug testing are required.
