Mercy Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse - Clinical Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for assisting the Nurse Manager with the daily operations of the nursing unit/department on a 24-hour basis.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct supervision of staff and ensure management presence and visibility according to departmental needs.
- Participate in employee selection and evaluation, scheduling and staffing, coaching and counseling, and the development and adherence to clinical and budgetary standards.
- Provide leadership to unit-based work groups, including PI and unit committees, and coordinate direct patient care.
- Support the Nurse Manager and provide leadership during their absence.
- Licensed by the State of Ohio as an R.N. required.
- BLS and ACLS required.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
- BSN required or must obtain within 3 years.
- Three years experience as a professional nurse in which potential administrative and supervisory competence has been demonstrated.
- Computer literacy.
- Makes decisions based on policy and/or consultation with co-workers/team members.
- Requires judgement in selection of alternative courses of action.
- May adapt standard principles to new or changed conditions.
- Solutions generally based on past precedent with some risk taking involved in developing new approach.
