AdeIphi MedicaI Staffing is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to provide comprehensive physical therapy services to students in a school setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality rehabilitation services, ensuring the well-being and rehabilitation of students.
Job Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Individualized Treatment Plans: Create and implement personalized treatment plans to improve strength, mobility, coordination, and endurance for students.
- Deliver and Evaluate Physical Therapy Intervention: Provide, evaluate, and adjust physical therapy intervention as approved by the Medical Doctor and the IEP team.
- Assist Students with Positional Transitions and Gross Motor Skills: Assist students in learning positional transitions, balance skills, and gross motor skills required for a student in the academic setting.
- Recommend Adaptations and Equipment: Make recommendations for adaptations in the classroom and/or dormitory to improve a student's functional mobility within their environment as needed.
- Participate in Required Meetings: Participate in required meetings for students as needed.
- Evaluate Students Using American Sign Language (ASL): Evaluate students using American Sign Language (ASL).
- Provide Therapy Services and Documentation: Provide therapy services according to the time indicated on the student's IEP and/or compensatory time required, and document therapy services.
- Collaborate with Other Disciplines: Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure quality services for students and decrease schedule conflicts.
- Perform Care Consistent with Scope of Licensure: Perform care consistent with the scope of licensure and in accordance with the institution's policies and procedures.
