Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Health Specialist to support the health and well-being of our employees within the workplace. The successful candidate will play a vital role in promoting occupational health and safety, providing medical care and support for work-related injuries and illnesses, and implementing preventive health programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical assessment and treatment of work-related injuries and illnesses, including first aid, medical evaluation, and referral to appropriate medical providers as needed.
  • Manage cases of occupational injuries and illnesses, ensuring timely and appropriate care and follow-up.
  • Develop and implement health promotion programs and initiatives to support employee wellness and prevent occupational injuries and illnesses.
  • Conduct pre-employment health screenings and assessments to evaluate the physical and mental fitness of job applicants for specific roles.
  • Implement health surveillance programs to monitor and track the health status of employees exposed to occupational hazards.
  • Collaborate with safety professionals, environmental health specialists, and management to identify workplace hazards and assess risks to employee health and safety.
  • Develop and implement strategies to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses, including ergonomic assessments, job hazard analyses, and safety training programs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, occupational health, public health, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), Physician Assistant (PA), or Occupational Health Nurse (OHN) preferred.
  • Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) or Certified Occupational Health Nurse-Specialist (COHN-S) certification preferred.
  • Minimum of [X] years of experience in occupational health, employee health, or related field, with demonstrated expertise in occupational health services, case management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Knowledge of occupational health regulations, standards, and best practices, including OSHA, ADA, FMLA, and workers' compensation regulations.
