Channel Personnel Services is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the development of electrical power systems, including load studies, construction packages, and specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with expertise in power system modeling, relay settings, and electrical code compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Develop comprehensive electrical power construction packages, including load studies, single line diagrams, and construction specifications.
- Lead the development of electrical power specifications, including equipment and installation details.
- Execute field verification walkdowns, factory acceptance testing, and start-up and commissioning of electrical power equipment.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to project managers on electrical power systems, including cost estimates and proposals.
- Travel up to 25% to support project sites and client meetings.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam Completion.
- 5 years' experience in electrical power systems development, including load studies, construction packages, and specifications.
- Expertise in power system modeling tools, such as ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower.
- Knowledge of electrical code compliance, including National Electrical Code (NEC), IEEE 3000 Series, and API 500.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with electrical power relay settings generation and implementation, including GE Multilin and SEL.
- Knowledge of area classification drawings, motor/breaker schematics, and wiring diagrams.
