Expert Interventional Radiology Technologist

Wellspring Nurse Source is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in California. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preparing and operating advanced imaging equipment, assisting in procedures, and ensuring patient safety.
This role involves working collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide high-quality care while adhering to strict safety and infection control standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing the interventional radiology suite by setting up sterile fields, instruments, and imaging equipment.
- Assisting physicians during interventional procedures, including angioplasty, stent placement, embolization, biopsies, and drain insertions.
- Operating fluoroscopy, CT, or ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality images for accurate procedure guidance.
- Administering contrast media as directed and monitoring patients for potential adverse reactions.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A minimum of an Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field is required, along with Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 per year, based on 36 hours per week and 12-hour shifts. This amount may vary depending on experience and location.
