Position Overview:

Shift: Days, Full Time
Compensation: Includes sign-on and relocation bonuses


This role operates within the Outpatient Department, assisting patients and healthcare professionals in an ambulatory care environment, ensuring the smooth functioning of the clinic.

Maintains essential skills, completes annual competencies, and engages in educational programs within the clinic and broader community as required; fulfills all mandatory training; participates in staff meetings; and adheres to infection control protocols.

Ensures a safe and organized working environment, including managing supplies and maintaining equipment, while reporting any issues or safety concerns to the appropriate management. Addresses employee matters in accordance with Human Resources policies.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide clinical services in collaboration with providers and clinic staff to guarantee high-quality care, efficient resource use, and compliance with established standards.

Lead and guide clinic staff to ensure the effective operation of all clinic functions, including front desk and patient care services.

Manage medication inventory and supplies not covered by the Warehouse PAR system, and ensure quality control checks are performed for Point of Care tests.

Document all care and services accurately and promptly, fulfilling nursing duties with professionalism.

Oversee clinic opening and closing procedures, ensuring thorough documentation of all services provided.

Assist providers and staff as necessary, proactively anticipating their needs to facilitate quality patient care.

Communicate effectively with other departments to serve as a reliable resource for patients, providers, and clinic personnel.

Qualifications:
Current, unrestricted Registered Nursing license in Alaska or another U.S. state is required. Candidates must have applied for an Alaska nursing license prior to starting. Basic Life Support certification is mandatory. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience:
Preferred: 1 year of acute care experience and 6 months in addiction services.

Skills:
Understanding of the nursing process and its application in practice. Knowledge of customer service principles, safety, and infection control. Proficient in assessments, anticipating needs, and specimen collection. Familiarity with medical equipment and effective communication skills.

Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment while being a collaborative team member. Willingness to teach and seek assistance when faced with challenges.

Technical Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Travel Requirements:
Must be available for occasional travel (approximately 10% of the time).
