About the Role

BEST Behavioral Health is currently seeking a Clinical Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our clinical support staff, you will work closely with individuals who suffer from mental illness, providing advocacy, case management, and crisis intervention services.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of mental health principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for serving as an advocate for persons and coordinating programs of support throughout the community, providing crisis intervention services as needed to reduce symptoms, and linking clients to appropriate community resources and services.

You will also promote and engage in therapeutic activities with clients, facilitate educational, behavioral health, or skill-building groups, and coach clients in practical living skills such as nutrition, budgeting, and independent living activities. Additionally, you will accompany clients to appointments, community events, and outings, and monitor school and home environments when needed.

A successful candidate will possess a high school diploma, one year of related mental health or social service experience, and a valid driver's license. You will also be responsible for recruiting clients and completing required documentation that captures the activities, goals, and progress of each client.

This is a flexible role with most shifts taking place between 1pm-9pm. The hourly pay rate is $16-$17 per hour.
