Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Denver Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient care, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and administering medications.
  • Perform various clinical tasks, such as drawing blood, collecting laboratory specimens, and conducting EKGs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, test results, and treatment plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; accredited program in Medical Office Assisting or Licensed Practical Nursing with active LPN license preferred.
  • Completion of a 160-hour externship or 6 months of direct patient care experience in an outpatient setting required.
  • BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required.
