Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Architect II to join our team at Clark Nexsen. As a Senior Architect II, you will be responsible for leading and managing architectural design services on multi-discipline building design projects of moderate to large scope for commercial and government facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage architectural design services, including conceptual studies, programming, schematic documents, design development documents, and construction documents.
  • Develop and implement project plans, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with project management to develop and manage design budgets and schedules.
  • Direct and supervise the work of architects, interns, and designers assigned to the project.
  • Manage and supervise architectural support services associated with the bidding process and construction phase.
  • Ensure staff compliance with quality control policies and procedures.
  • Participate in marketing activities and foster client relationships.
  • Represent the company in client presentations, public speaking, and writing.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Architecture from an NAAB-accredited program or Master of Architecture from an NAAB-accredited program.
  • Must be a fully licensed Architect in at least one US state, preferably in the local jurisdiction.
  • NCARB certified to facilitate licensure through reciprocity is preferred.
  • Additional professional and sustainability certifications are encouraged.
  • Advanced level knowledge of design, modeling, and graphic software, including Revit, Rhino, Enscape, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • A minimum of 12 years of significant design and practice experience in a leadership role with an architectural firm or a multi-discipline Architectural & Engineering firm.
Work Environment

The work is sedentary and often performed in an office setting. The work area is lighted, heated, and ventilated. This position may require extended periods of standing, sitting, as well as some repetitive movements, bending, and lifting of minimal weight.
