About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Staff to join our team at AEG. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoot and repair production and facilities equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory controls to ensure cost-effective operations.
  • Special Projects: Complete and coordinate special projects as directed by the Senior Property Manager.
  • Installation and Repair: Install light bulbs, doors, cabinets, paneling, Formica, carpet, and bulletin boards as needed.
  • Facilities Maintenance: Maintain a professional and courteous manner with all students, guests, residents, contractors, vendors, and staff.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Complete grounds work as assigned, including trash removal and other tasks.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure safety standards comply with all company, local, city, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Emergency Maintenance: Provide 24-hour emergency maintenance service as scheduled.
  • Communication: Alert the Senior Property Manager of any unusual occurrences or damage.
Requirements
  • HVAC Experience: Must have experience in HVAC maintenance and repair.
  • Valid Driver's License: Must have a valid Florida driver's license or the ability to obtain one.
  • Estimation and Pricing: Must be able to estimate, order, and price materials for work assignments.
  • Blueprint Reading: Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and schematics.
  • Material Calculation: Must be able to calculate amounts of materials needed and measure materials for installation.
  • Lifting and Moving: Must be able to lift, move, stack, store, and protect tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Chemical Handling: Must be able to utilize chemical materials properly and safely.
  • OSHA Knowledge: Must have knowledge of OSHA guidelines regarding safety.
  • Lighting Fixtures: Must have knowledge of lighting fixtures.
  • Building Codes: Must have knowledge of local, state, and federal building, plumbing, installation, etc. codes to perform building maintenance and repair work.
  • Heating and Ventilation: Must have knowledge of heating, ventilation, and HVAC codes to perform installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Basic Electrical Principles: Must have basic electrical principle understanding.
  • Plumbing Systems: Must have basic knowledge of plumbing systems and operations.
  • Equipment Operation: Must be able to operate equipment, including heavy equipment.
  • Computer Proficiency: Must have computer proficiency.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Flexibility: Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Lifting and Moving: Must be able to lift, move, push, and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40 lbs.
  • Outdoor Temperatures: Must be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time.
  • Campus Movement: Must be able to move around campus, including gym, turf, fields, stairs, etc.
  • Essential Role: This role is considered essential and may be required to work during weather emergencies or business closures to meet operational requirements.
