Join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals at the Medical College of Wisconsin's Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology and Oncology.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to support our Hematology/Oncology and BMT Inpatient services at Froedtert Hospital and the Center for Advanced Care.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to diagnose and treat conditions requiring Hematology/Oncology/BMT intervention in an inpatient environment.
- Write accurate and timely progress notes, procedure notes, and/or admission and transfer orders.
- Order, perform, and interpret screening and diagnostic procedures and tests, and communicate and document information effectively.
- Privilege to perform procedures beyond core as identified by the Hematology/Oncology/BMT services.
- Facilitate and communicate with patients, families, and staff to promote continuity of care across the continuum of care.
- Attend required training and meet key regulatory requirements, including those of the privileging institution, CMS, and the Joint Commission.
- Evaluate quality outcomes for patients receiving care from this team through participation in the development of quality indicators and outcomes dashboard.
- Acquire information on current developments and trends in the Physician Assistant field and/or Nurse Practitioner field through educational programs, in-services, professional associates, and current literature.
- Participate in ongoing clinical research and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Experience as an APP or Clinician in HemOnc/BMT patients within an inpatient or hospital setting.
- Background in Hematology/Oncology/BMT and experience working with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced inpatient environment.
