Job Description:

As a Logistics Specialist with SRS Building Products in Harrisonburg, you will be responsible for delivering building materials to customers and job sites within a 200-mile radius of our branch. This role involves operating a commercial vehicle in compliance with all DOT regulations, ensuring the safe transportation of goods and maintaining a positive reputation for our company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safety First: Safely operate a commercial vehicle, adhering to local, state, and federal laws at all times.
  • Logistics Expertise: Validate and confirm inventory loaded on the truck, compare purchase orders, sign-off on delivery tickets, and ensure accurate routing information prior to departure.
  • Site Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of job sites, documenting any existing damage and capturing pictures of delivered products as per Company Policy.
Requirements:
  • A valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Ability to load and unload building products weighing up to 100 lbs. each off a straight bed truck continuously.
  • No hit & runs or DWI/DUI convictions within the last three years.
  • Prior commercial driving experience and knowledge of DOT & OSHA safety regulations for Logistic Specialists are pluses.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
  • Must be at least 18 years old (21 years old for interstate driving or hazardous materials transport).
  • Pass a required drug test and possess a current DOT medical certificate.
  • Be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S. and pass an E-Verify Check.
