Job Opportunity

Sylvan Learning - Columbus, OH is seeking a Part-Time Math Tutor to join our team. Our mission is to provide academic support to students from Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade, helping them achieve their academic goals.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong background in math, with the ability to deliver high-quality instruction and build positive relationships with students. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver math instruction to students in a supportive and engaging environment
  • Develop and implement lesson plans to meet the needs of individual students
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and achieve goals

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in math or a related field
  • Strong background in math, including algebra and geometry
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work a variety of schedules, including evenings and weekends
