About the Role

We are seeking a Seasonal Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Nurse to join our team at St. David's North Austin Medical Center. As a PICU Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill pediatric patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
  • Implement and evaluate care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and accurate delivery of care
  • Provide education and support to patients and families
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications

  • 2 years of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Experience in an acute care setting (preferred)
  • Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN, preferred)
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications
  • Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification (preferred)
  • Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN) certification (preferred)
