Job Title: Dietary Aide RoleSalary: $15-19 Hourly Wage
Job Description:The Dietary Aide serves food to residents, visitors, and employees in a friendly and professional manner, providing exceptional customer service. Key responsibilities include preparing tray lines, completing food prep, and delivering carts to various areas of the Complex.
- Prepare tray lines with essentials, such as napkins, wrapped silverware, trays, lids for plates, and place mats.
- Complete food preparation tasks for tray lines and coolers, ensuring timely delivery.
- Puree food as needed to meet resident requirements.
- Place food and beverage items on trays according to meal requests or physicians' orders.
- Stock carts with ice water and iced tea for lunch.
- Deliver carts to various areas of the Complex, including childcare, hospital, senior living, and nursing home.
- Prepare puddings, Jell-Os, and salads for the next day's meals.
- Serve lunch on tray lines while maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Refill salad bars and check dates on pudding, custards, etc., to ensure freshness.
- Clear tables and sanitize table tops after each meal.
- Empty carts and remove trash, then wipe down surfaces with sanitizer solution.
- Clean coffee pots and kitchen equipment regularly.
- Clean up the kitchen and wash dishes efficiently.
- Prepare the kitchen and dining rooms for the next meal.
- Answer the kitchen phone as needed and perform other related tasks.
- Meet essential qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to work with and serve diverse individuals required.
- Excellent customer service skills necessary.
- Teamwork and instruction following abilities required.
- Reliability expected.
- Must be able to work weekend and holiday rotations.
- Food service sanitation license preferred.
