Job Title: Dietary Aide Role

Salary: $15-19 Hourly Wage

Job Description:

The Dietary Aide serves food to residents, visitors, and employees in a friendly and professional manner, providing exceptional customer service. Key responsibilities include preparing tray lines, completing food prep, and delivering carts to various areas of the Complex.

  1. Prepare tray lines with essentials, such as napkins, wrapped silverware, trays, lids for plates, and place mats.
  2. Complete food preparation tasks for tray lines and coolers, ensuring timely delivery.
  3. Puree food as needed to meet resident requirements.
  4. Place food and beverage items on trays according to meal requests or physicians' orders.
  5. Stock carts with ice water and iced tea for lunch.
  6. Deliver carts to various areas of the Complex, including childcare, hospital, senior living, and nursing home.
  7. Prepare puddings, Jell-Os, and salads for the next day's meals.
  8. Serve lunch on tray lines while maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  9. Refill salad bars and check dates on pudding, custards, etc., to ensure freshness.
  10. Clear tables and sanitize table tops after each meal.
  11. Empty carts and remove trash, then wipe down surfaces with sanitizer solution.
  12. Clean coffee pots and kitchen equipment regularly.
  13. Clean up the kitchen and wash dishes efficiently.
  14. Prepare the kitchen and dining rooms for the next meal.
  15. Answer the kitchen phone as needed and perform other related tasks.
  16. Meet essential qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to work with and serve diverse individuals required.
  • Excellent customer service skills necessary.
  • Teamwork and instruction following abilities required.
  • Reliability expected.
  • Must be able to work weekend and holiday rotations.
  • Food service sanitation license preferred.
