Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
The Clinical Operations Supervisor will report directly to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and will be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing comprehensive nursing and clinical care management initiatives.
  • Overseeing the administration of nursing services and ensuring compliance with clinical risk management protocols.
  • Developing and maintaining data systems that support clinical and administrative practices, informing strategic initiatives.
  • Managing daily operations to achieve objectives outlined in the Risk Management Plan.
  • Conducting successful clinical program audits and ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Designing and implementing process improvement projects to address audit findings and enhance clinical operations.
  • Collaborating with the leadership team to gather and analyze actionable data for service delivery improvement.

Essential Duties:
The Clinical Operations Supervisor will also:

  • Work closely with the CMO and clinical leadership to execute the risk management training plan and meet annual training objectives.
  • Develop clinical policies and procedures that promote culturally sensitive, efficient, and high-quality patient care.
  • Provide strategic leadership in transitioning the revenue structure to alternative payment methodologies, supporting staff and patients throughout the process.
  • Offer direct oversight and mentorship to nursing staff, including performance evaluations and professional development opportunities.
  • Plan and implement short- and long-term strategic goals in alignment with the organization’s objectives.
  • Contribute to clinical leadership discussions aimed at reducing costs, enhancing revenues, and achieving quality goals.
  • Implement and ensure compliance with the Infection Control program, facilitating the internal Infection Control Committee.
  • Lead clinical audits and participate in quality assurance and improvement activities.
  • Manage the Healthcare Safety Zone portal and oversee risk management processes, including incident management and data analytics.
  • Engage in professional development activities and encourage nursing staff to pursue growth opportunities.
  • Provide direct nursing services as needed and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
  • A minimum of five years of healthcare experience, with at least three years in a nursing leadership role, preferably in a community health setting.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred, along with excellent communication skills.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Empathy and respect for diverse populations, with a commitment to cultural competency.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records, with a preference for EPIC EMR experience.
  • Experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center or similar multi-site non-profit clinic is highly desirable.
