Job Description

We are expanding our data practice and looking for a Data Migration Expert to manage the data migration team responsible for identifying, extracting, cleaning, mapping, and loading data from multiple sources into the target SAP S4 system.

The Data Migration Expert will provide leadership, direction, and guidance to senior level client stakeholders and is a subject matter specialist across the SAP data migration suite of services. The role combines critical thinking, leadership, and functional expertise to drive the success of the Data Readiness service while actively contributing to the customer's success.

Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Planning: Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand data migration requirements. Assess existing data systems and identify potential challenges and opportunities.
  • Data Mapping and Transformation: Analyze source and target data structures and values to create detailed data mapping documentation. Design and implement data transformation processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity during migration.
  • Execution and Monitoring: Execute data migration processes according to the established plans and timelines. Monitor and troubleshoot migration activities, addressing issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing of migrated data to verify accuracy and completeness. Develop and implement data validation and reconciliation procedures.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of migration processes, data mappings, and transformation rules. Generate regular progress reports for stakeholders, highlighting key achievements and challenges.
Requirements
  • At least 10-15 years of Data Migration and Governance Consulting experience at a recognized firm working with multi-national clients.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge working with multiple data management, data transformation, data migration, ETL tools. Most importantly Syniti tools.
  • Proficiency in SQL, ETL processes, and data modeling.
  • Deep Supply Chain experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Direct experience in applying project management and data management best practices to create tactical execution plans for cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
What We Offer

Blue Skies Consulting provides competitive compensation tailored to qualifications and experience of each applicant. The annual compensation for this role varies, ranging from $100,000 to $250,000, depending on expertise and years of experience.

The role is remote based and can be located in the Central or Eastern time zone. 25% Travel to NY/NJ is required.
