Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for maintenance and repair procedures on over-the-road tractors, trailers, converter dollies, terminal tractors, forklifts, and dock equipment.
- Provide technical support and training to over 45 tractor/trailer maintenance facility locations, with 50% out-of-state travel.
- Instruct training courses for automotive maintenance technicians, covering company-approved maintenance, repair, and diagnostic processes and procedures.
- Coordinate and administer internal and vendor training events for assigned regions.
- Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are present at all assigned training locations.
- Manage regional training costs and expenses.
- Audit training records and update company training records for assigned regions.
- Develop, update, and maintain training courses, guides, and content in accordance with company policy, manufacturer guidance, and industry-recommended practices.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and point of contact for technical guidance and resources, acting as a liaison between maintenance facility personnel and equipment manufacturers.
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Applied knowledge of heavy-duty tractor/trailer mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and cutting/welding systems.
- Familiarity with FMCSA, DOT, CVSA, OSHA, EPA, CARB, TMC regulations and guidelines.
- Technical/Mechanical experience with heavy-duty powertrain and chassis platforms from major manufacturers.
- Technical/Mechanical experience with heavy-duty trailer platforms from major manufacturers.
- Technical/Mechanical experience with forklift platforms from major manufacturers.
- Comfortable speaking and presenting technical concepts to a group in a classroom and virtual environment.
- Proficient use of technology, including PCs, tablets, vehicle ECUs, navigate technical diagnostic software, and technical literature.
- Experience in curriculum development and technical writing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools - Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of business applications – SAP, AS400, Concur.
- Working knowledge of business enterprise solutions – Microsoft Cloud, Sharepoint, WorkDay.
- Learning Management System, content, SCORM package development.
