Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Exercise Physiologist or Registered Nurse to join our Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation team at Gundersen Health System. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading exercise programs to help patients recover from cardiac conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients to determine their exercise needs and develop personalized exercise programs.
  • Lead exercise sessions and provide guidance to patients on proper exercise techniques and safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Evaluate patient progress and adjust exercise programs as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Exercise Physiology or Cardiac Rehabilitation or a related field, or Associate Degree in Nursing.
  • 1-year successful completion of clinical internship.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
  • Valid Registered Nurse license with the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (if RN).
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-year prior work experience in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • American College of Sports Medicine Certified (ACSM) within one year of hire.
