As an integral member of our healthcare team, you will provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services to individuals of all ages who are experiencing communication disorders, speech impairments, and swallowing difficulties.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Comprehensive Evaluations: Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to diagnose speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop Individualized Treatment Plans: Develop tailored treatment plans based on assessment findings, patient needs, and goals.
- Implement Therapeutic Interventions: Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve communication skills, including articulation, language comprehension and expression, voice quality, fluency, and pragmatic language abilities.
- Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Team Members: Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, physical therapists, educators, and social workers, to coordinate patient care and optimize treatment outcomes.
- Provide Education and Guidance: Provide education and guidance to patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies, therapeutic exercises, and techniques to facilitate progress and independence.
- Monitor and Document Patient Progress: Monitor and document patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain accurate clinical records in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
- Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- State Licensure: Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Georgia.
- Experience in Assessing and Treating Pediatric and/or Adult Populations: Experience in assessing and treating pediatric and/or adult populations preferred.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Commitment to Ongoing Professional Development: Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education to stay current with best practices and advancements in the field.
