Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Comprehensive Evaluations: Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to diagnose speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop Individualized Treatment Plans: Develop tailored treatment plans based on assessment findings, patient needs, and goals.
  • Implement Therapeutic Interventions: Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve communication skills, including articulation, language comprehension and expression, voice quality, fluency, and pragmatic language abilities.
  • Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Team Members: Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, physical therapists, educators, and social workers, to coordinate patient care and optimize treatment outcomes.
  • Provide Education and Guidance: Provide education and guidance to patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies, therapeutic exercises, and techniques to facilitate progress and independence.
  • Monitor and Document Patient Progress: Monitor and document patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain accurate clinical records in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
Qualifications
  • Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • State Licensure: Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Georgia.
  • Experience in Assessing and Treating Pediatric and/or Adult Populations: Experience in assessing and treating pediatric and/or adult populations preferred.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Commitment to Ongoing Professional Development: Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education to stay current with best practices and advancements in the field.
