About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Hygienist to join our team in Plymouth, Minnesota. As an Industrial Hygienist, you will provide intermediate-level safety and industrial hygiene consulting services to a variety of clients, including industrial and manufacturing companies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide health and safety and industrial hygiene consulting services for various projects and clients.
  • Assist and support industrial hygiene staff and projects internationally.
  • Conduct field work, including IH assessments and indoor air quality assessments.
  • Collect and analyze field data and prepare industrial hygiene monitoring reports.
  • Support field studies, such as air and noise monitoring, at various locations.
  • Maintain field instruments and records.
  • Assist in developing health and safety-related programs and procedures, training modules.
  • Conduct OH&S compliance auditing.
  • Support employees in complying with Stantec's occupational, health, and safety systems.
  • Assist with project pre-job planning and hazard assessments.
  • Conduct EHS field assessments, planned job observations, and worksite inspections.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
  • Strong technical and communication skills, both written and verbal, along with excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities.
  • Developing leadership skills and the capability to assess priorities and work independently.
  • Experience with federal, state, and local regulations affecting industrial and manufacturing facilities.
  • Experience working with field sampling equipment, including associated software.
  • Computer proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of software.
  • Certified Industrial Hygienist or working towards certification by the Board of Safety Professionals or the American Board of Industrial Hygiene.
  • Satisfactory driving record and valid drivers' license.
Education and Experience
  • A degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant field work experience in an Industrial Hygiene or occupational, health, and safety role.

This is a full-time position with up to 25% travel required, mainly across the continental US, with potential for overnight stays up to 1 to 3 weeks.
