Job Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist II to join our team at Novant Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work closely with patients and their support systems to deliver exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advocate for patients and their families by incorporating education into the interdisciplinary care plan.
  • Prioritize tasks according to patient needs and acuity levels to ensure timely completion of care interventions and medical orders.
  • Administer and evaluate medication therapies, perform patient transfers, and transport patients as needed.
  • Provide routine respiratory care, such as ABGs and bronchial hygiene therapy, and perform higher levels of care in critical care areas and emergent situations.
  • Demonstrate independence in the specialty of Respiratory Care, practicing according to state requirements and standards.
  • Critical Care Specific: Ventilator management, code blue, airway management, interpretation and intervention with blood gas analysis, and use of related protocols for patient care.

Requirements:

  • Education: Associate Degree (2-year) or Bachelor's Degree (4-year), preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current RCP licensure in the appropriate state.
