Job Summary:
Trusted Resource Associates (TRA) is seeking a skilled Local Contract Nurse RN - Utilization Review Specialist to join our team. As a Utilization Review Specialist, you will play a critical role in facilitating care along a continuum, ensuring patients receive optimal health, access to care, and appropriate utilization of resources.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate care along a continuum through effective resource coordination to help patients achieve optimal health, access to care, and appropriate utilization of resources.
- Manage medical necessity process for accurate and timely payment for services, which may require negotiation with a payer on a case-by-case basis.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Develop and implement effective care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making adjustments to care plans as needed.
Requirements:
- Current California RN license.
- At least 2 years of acute care experience and at least 1 year of Case Management experience in an Acute Care Discharge environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records and other relevant software systems.
