Medical Assistant/X-Ray Technician

Job Summary
The Medical Assistant/X-Ray Technician is responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support services in a fast-paced urgent care environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of patients through the facility, while maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with patient registration, vital sign measurement, and preparation for examinations.
- Explain treatment procedures to patients and prepare exam rooms for examinations.
- Assist with diagnostic tests, including eye exams, electrocardiograms, and spirometry.
- Perform CLIA-waived lab tests and collect, label, and process specimens for send-out.
- Remove sutures, staples, and change dressings as needed.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Some medical experience preferred.
- BCLS certification required.
- Ability to work all shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions
Candidates must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently, with cognitive skills for math, reading, and filing. They must also have vision for near, mid-range, and far distances, as well as hearing for low, medium, and high pitches. The job requires long-term standing, occasional sitting, and frequent walking, reaching, and lifting.
