Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Police Officer to join our team at the City of Goldsboro, NC. As a School Resource Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and faculty at our local schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol school campuses to prevent and detect disturbances and crime
  • Perform traffic control duties and respond to emergency situations
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with school staff, students, and community members
  • Assist with investigations and provide support to other law enforcement agencies
  • Participate in training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices and procedures
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid North Carolina driver's license
  • Minimum of two years of full-time experience as a sworn police officer
  • Certification by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Training and Standards Commission
